01 / The Book
26 careers.
One illustrated book.
ABC Career Day introduces young readers to different careers from A to Z. Each letter pairs a job with a short description written for a younger audience, while the illustrations turn each occupation into its own scene.
The English edition is currently being illustrated. The pages move through layout, rough artwork, cleanup, client review and revisions before they are ready for the book.
02 / Drawing The Alphabet
NOT EXACTLY
A TO Z.
The book follows the alphabet. The artist doesn't. Pages get drawn in whatever order inspiration decides that day.
A little peek at the process. Not the whole book.

03 / How A Page Gets Built
From visual guide
to finished drawing.
Before a page is finished, it goes through a few versions. The early layout is there to see the idea, composition and progress. Then the drawing takes over.
01 / VISUAL GUIDE
See the page first.
A blurred reference image helps establish the occupation, composition and placement before the final illustration exists.
02 / ROUGH ILLUSTRATION
Drop in the drawing.
The new illustration is placed into the page before it is fully cleaned and finished, making the direction and progress easy to see.
03 / CLEAN + FINISH
Make it book-ready.
Details are cleaned, adjusted and developed before the page moves into review and revisions.
04 / A Little Peek
Not the whole book.
ABC Career Day is still in production, so only a few pieces of the illustration process will live here before release.

05 / Review + Revise
Draw it.
Share it.
Fix what needs fixing.
Working pages are shared with Melanie through an online PDF review process. Notes and corrections can be marked directly on the proof, keeping feedback attached to the page it belongs to.
After review, the artwork can move through revisions before the page is approved for the book.
